Built by people who wanted local news to feel local again
Primebridge started as a small notebook of unanswered questions about one state's road budget. It grew, region by region, from there.
Primebridge began in 2020 with a single correspondent tracking public works spending in one state, frustrated that national outlets rarely followed up once the ribbon-cutting photos ran. What started as a personal record grew into a small desk, then a network.
Today, correspondents based across Nigeria's states file on schools, markets, health facilities and council decisions — the kind of stories that shape daily life but rarely make national headlines. We publish what we can verify, and we say clearly when something is still unconfirmed.
We're not trying to be everywhere at once. We'd rather cover fewer states well than spread ourselves thin across all thirty-six.
